Hive is the first u-he synth equipped with wheels and a keyboard. As all u-he synths shares the same GUI system, now Diva (silently) gained the ability to have them in. They work totally same as the ones in Hive––They react to MIDI written in DAW or hardware MIDI controllers. And you can click keys to play notes, drag wheels to check how MW/PW work.

Operator One is the 8th soundset in our series of soundsets for Omnisphere 2 where we take an iconic synthesizer, record the most important aspects of it, and recreate its characteristics in Omnisphere.
nFor this soundset we took a look at another synthesizer from Sweden, and this is the one most people connect with beards, tattoos and striped flannel shirts. The OP1 from Teenage Engineering is probably regarded as the hipster synth number one, and it’s a synthesizer that has an almost fanatical fanbase. Apart from it’s cool design, it’s a very quirky synthesizer. Quite limited but with lots of character.

nWe recorded waveforms from the most simple to the complex and advanced, and even recorded a handful of sounds using - and misusing - the effect section.
nAll sounds were recorded from the OP1 manually without connecting it to the computer via usb - that way we got rid of the dreaded usb noise - but naturally we couldn’t resist recording the noise separately as an alternative noise waveform.
nApart from with the single presets, we also combined another 51 sounds into complex multisounds.

Elektroniq is the 7th soundset in our series of soundsets for Omnisphere 2 where we take a synthesizer, record the most important aspects of it, and recreate its characteristics in Omnisphere.
nThe concept of the soundset is built on analog sounds taken from the Elektron Analog Rytm, using the Dual VCO analog synthesizer engine, but with a twist. Instead of just recording the sounds and oscillators into Omnisphere, we let the sounds first take a detour through one of the coolest hardware samplers from the 1990s: the Ensoniq EPS 16+.

nWhen sampling the Analog Rytm, we did the old re-pitching trick, by recording the sounds at a higher pitch then playing the sounds at a lower pitch. This technique is very effective to bring out that old-school sampler vibe.
nWe sampled the Elektron in multiple sample frequencies, from the crappiest 11 kHz all the way up to 44 kHz. The sounds were sampled with the anti-aliasing filter set to off, as we wanted to capture all gritty details.
nAs a final interesting twist, we also recorded some of the samples with the built-in effects of the Ensoniq set to maximum wetness.
nApart from the analog sounds, we also recorded a handful of drum sounds from the Analog Rytm, and some old-school speech synthesizer vocal phrases. Together with the single presets, we also combined another 50 sounds into complex multisounds.

Electro Royale is a collection of sounds that draws inspiration from the harder and louder EDM genres, such as Big Room, while still keeping a foot in the melodic and mellow. Electro Royale combines big, noisy, screeching leads and basses with mellow and laid back plucks and pads. Combine for maximum effect.

nTo achieve a wide sound palette, we departed from our normal way of making sounds, and opened the flood gates and used everything from the internal synth engine and source materials from synth legends such as Virus, Minimoog and Roland JP-8000 - to plastic sounding Casio keyboards, massive sounds from softsynths and even ambient soundscapes.

Analog All-Stars is the third and last soundset in our Electro series and sets the focus on modern dance sounds using only waveforms from old classic vintage synthesisers such as Minimoogs, Oberheims, Roland Juno, Jupiter 8 and Moog Modulars, but more modern iconic synths for dance music production, such as the Roland JP8000 and Access Virus.

With Deep Ocean we go into our sonic submarine and into an underwater world inspired by the ambient masterpiece Waiting for Costeau by Jean-Michel Jarre. Here you will find dark pianos drenched in long reverbs, quirky arpeggios and sequences and mellow synths. But the real focus in this soundset is on a large number of atmospheric textures and soundscapes, which span from the dark and menacing to the mysterious but also up-lifting and almost fantasy-like.

nThe collection is mostly built on the internal samples of Omnisphere 2, but to create an extra dimension we added some additional sounds, such as sonar ping sounds and used those as the fundament for inventing new soundscapes and synth sounds.
nTogether with the single sounds we also created 50 multi sounds where we stacked up to four layers to create even more complex soundscapes.

For this soundset we have created pounding sequences and arpeggios, over-saturated basses and leads, and dark & menacing soundscapes, effects and drum sounds. But not only that - we have made use of all the features of the Omnisphere 2 engine, from the new waveforms and internal synth engine (such as the characteristic 303 square wave), to sampled vocal clips that we have transformed into textures and rhythms.
nWe also made a handful of stabs and textures using the highly distinctive Tesla Coil waveform. We also added a complete set of TR909 drums which we first sampled with an Akai S1100 sampler.
nThe second bonus is that we added another handful of sounds, but this time as Multi patchs - with cool combinations of the single sounds, loops and drums.
nJust press a key and off you go to the dance floor.
